About UsIARD HistoryIARD was established by a group of scientists and engineers that had worked together for many years in the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. The group was established in the early 70's to advance Israel's capabilities in infra red radiometry. During these years this group supplied radiometric and signature measurement services to the Israeli ministry of defense. IARD was established as a private venture owned by its main scientists in 1998. Since then it continued in its original mission as well as broadening the scope of its activities. IARD ManagementDr. Yossi Bushlin - CEO. Dr. Bushlin is co-founder, Board member and CEO of IARD. He has 20 years experience in managing electro-optics R&D projects. Dr. Bushlin holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Technion – the Israel Institute of Technology (1989). He published more than 40 scientific papers. Dr. Adam D. Devir - CTO. Dr. Devir is co-founder, Board member and CTO of IARD. He is a renowned scientist in the fields of infrared physics and radiometry. Dr. Devir holds a PhD in Physics, from the Technion – the Israel Institute of Technology (1975). He made his postdoctrate studies in the department of chemistry at Cornell University. As a scientist in the department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences in Tel-Aviv University he worked as payload engineer in MEIDEX project that was part of the Columbia STS-107 scientific mission. Dr. Devir served as a co-chairman in SPIE conference on Atmospheric Propagation. He published more than 60 scientific papers and patents. Dr. Dan Sheffer - Head of remote sensing group. Dr. Sheffer is co-founder, Board member and head of the Remote Sensing group of IARD. He is an experienced scientist in the fields of infrared physics and remote sensing. Dr. Sheffer earned his B.Sc degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Hebrew University in 1978 and his M.Sc and Ph.D. (1999) degrees in Physics from the Technion – the Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Sheffer has more than 25 years of experience in applied physics and basic research. He served in Standards Committees of the Israel Institute of Standards and is the Israel representative in Division 2 of the CIE (International Lighting Committee). Dr. Sheffer had published more than 20 scientific papers and patents. Dr. Alex Lessin - Head of modeling and simulation group. Dr. Lessin holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the MFTI University - Moscow (1980). He is an experienced scientist in the fields of supersonic gas dynamics; physical-chemical and thermal processes in a gas flow and heat transfer. More than 30 years of R&D experience in the Space and Rocket Industry. Dr. Lessin had published more than 30 scientific papers. Haim Rosh - co-founder, CFO and COO. Mr. Rosh holds an MA degree from Bar Ilan University law school and BA in Business Administration. He has more the 15 years of experience in business and technical management. Mr. Shmuel Ariov - co-founder. Mr. Shmuel Ariov is co-founder of IARD. He is the chief technical and logistics expert in IARD measurement campaigns and field tests as well as the designer and builder of instrumentation prototypes. Mr. Ariov has extensive experience of more than 30 years in performing complex field measurements. Ariel Herold - Head of product and business development group.
